The FAA requires that you meet the following minimum requirements in order to obtain a CFI or CFII certificate. Through rigorous training, simulators, and practical application our instructors can help you acheive these minimums safely and effectively.

 

FAA Requirements:

CFI Airplane Requirements

• Obtain Commercial Pilot Certificate

• FAA 3rd Class Medical

• Pass the FAA Fundamentals of Instruction Knowledge Test

• Pass the FAA Written Knowledge Test

• Pass the FAA Practical Test

• Obtain Sufficient Dual Instruction to Gain Proficiency (No Minimum)

CFII Airplane Requirements

• The Instrument Flight Instructor certificate allows you to teach others to fly airplanes under instrument conditions.

• Hold a Commercial and a Airplane Instrument Rating

• FAA 3rd Class Medical

• Pass the FAA Written Knowledge Test

• Pass the FAA Practical Test

• Obtain Sufficient Dual Instruction to Gain Proficiency (No Minimum)
