INSTRUMENT RATING

The instrument rating teaches you to fly in limited visibility, fog, and clouds. You will learn to maneuver the helicopter by reference to instruments. In addition to enhancing your piloting skills, you will enhance your confidence and safety.

The FAA requires that you meet the following minimum requirements in order to obtain an Instrument Rating. Through rigorous training, simulators, and practical application our instructors can help you fly in IFR conditions safely and effectively.

 

FAA Requirements:

  • Obtain Private Pilot Certificate

  • FAA 3rd Class Medical

  • Pass the FAA Written Knowledge Test

  • Pass the FAA Practical Test

  • Log 40* Hours of Dual Instrument Time
