Army Credentialing Assistance Program - Total Flight Solutions is an Approved Training Provider

Updated: Sep 27, 2021

We're excited to announce that Total Flight Solutions is an approved training provider of the Army Credentialing and Continuing Education Services for Soldiers (ACCESS).

What was previously Headquarters ACES, or HRC ACES, or Army Continuing Education System is now ACCESS, ArmyU. This program is designed to help Army service members so they can get certifications and licenses that match up with their military jobs and future civilian careers.

Available Courses in both Airplane & Helicopter

  • Private Pilot License - fly for pleasure, generally without accepting compensation.

  • Instrument Rating - permitting you to fly by reference to instruments or on an IFR flight plan.

  • Commercial Pilot License - with some restrictions, fly for compensation or hire.

  • Certified Flight Instructor - ability to teach Private or Commercial pilot license for compensation.

Steps to Apply

  • Once you have selected the program you would like to attend we will provide you an invoice of the services to not exceed $4k/year.  You can then take the invoice with the requested funds for the training, books, fees, exams, and/or re-certification for credentials to ArmyIgnited.

  • You may then submit a Credential Plan through your ArmyIgnited account.  An Education Counselor will review the plan and escalate it to the ACCESS, ArmyU Credentialing Assistance team for processing. At which point, you will wait for further instructions from the Credentialing Assistance team.

  • Please understand that it may be up to the day prior to the start date of the course before we will receive payment.  Additionally, we cannot ask ACCESS to provide information on you if you have not submitted a Credential Plan, or the Credential Plan has not yet been processed.

Note: The Department of Defense and the Department of the Army are neither affiliated with nor endorse Total Flight Solutions.
